How to install motorcycle dash cam
How to install the motorcycle dash cam? This is a relatively complicated process. The following takes Luview M1502 motorcycle dash cam as an example to explain the detailed installation process to you.
First remove the parts on the motorcycle that affect our wiring, such as shells on two sides/fuel tank cover. Take out the host, install and fix with the specific bracket in the accessories bag.
Install the bracket and the host firmly on the handle empty space. Adjust to the correct angle and tighten the screws. Secure the cable with ribbons. Take out rear view camera and install in the right place. Arrange the connecting wire to the appropriate place. Install the front camera. Organize the wiring. The cable can be passed through the front of the motorcycle .
Take out the power cable and tighten the connection between the red terminal connector and the red power interface on the dash cam host. There are two other connecting wires on the main host. The cable with the F mark on the cable label indicates the front camera cable. The cable with the R mark on the cable label indicates the rear camera cable. Connect the front and rear camera cables separately according to the above methods. The connection terminal has waterproof and anti-oxidation ability.
After the connection is completed, organize the cables. You can refer to this connection method to organize and fix the ribbons. The red wire on the power cable can be connected to the AC cable of the motorcycle. It will automatically activate the dash cam. Connect the yellow wire of the power cord to the positive terminal of the motorcycle’s battery. Connect the black wire of the power cord to the negative terminal of the motorcycle’s battery. Organize and fix the extra length of wire.
Start the motorcycle to test whether the dash cam is normally powered on. If the dash cam is working normally, you can install the fuel tank cover just removed and the shells on both sides.
Now take out the Bluetooth remote control. Find the right accessories from the accessories bag to fix the Bluetooth remote. Install on the handle on the right place. Tighten the screws firmly. Now the installation is complete.
How much does a motorcycle dash cam cost
The price of a motorcycle dash cam varies wildly. Prices range from less than $50 to over $500 depending on the model. The cheaper models tend to use inferior image sensors and have cheap, breakable mounting tools. Motorcycle dash cams should be durable and made of high-quality materials like aluminum or stainless steel. You’ll want a user-friendly camera that will last for many years. However, if you’re on a budget, don’t worry! There are several inexpensive options available on the market, but they usually don’t do as good of a job as a quality dash cam.
If you’re concerned about the cost, the main camera will have a maximum capacity of 256 GB. While most models come with a built-in memory card, some models don’t. Some motorcycle dash cams have continuous loop recording, while others have custom recording duration. To avoid arousing suspicion, consider the price of a dash cam that has a memory card.
Find reliable motorcycle dash cam manufacturer
If you plan to purchase motorcycle dash cameras in bulk quantity, there are a few factors you should consider:
Firstly, you should choose a motorcycle dash cam made by a reputable manufacturer. Do not settle for a cheaply made product because you will likely end up with poor video quality.
Secondly, cheap motorcycle dash cams usually have low quality image sensors and inferior housing. Also, they often have breakable mounting tools.
Thirdly, a motorcycle dash cam should be made of high-quality materials, such as aluminum or stainless steel.
Finally, the camera should have excellent lenses and easy to use interfaces.
